Job summary

Friskney All Saints Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated role to support access to learning within the SEND Hub. The post involves working under the SEND Hub Teacher to help pupils with diverse special educational needs participate in learning activities and achieve their targets in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team with teaching and support staff.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the SEND Hub Teacher and contribute to learning, wellbeing and outcomes of pupils in the SEND Hub.
• Promote the SEND Hub as part of the school curriculum and inclusive culture.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and progress towards learning objectives.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion for pupils.
• Use effective behaviour management in line with school policy.
• Assist with organisation of the SEND Hub space and resources.
• Contribute to assessment and planning by monitoring pupil progress.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents and carers under the SEND Hub teacher’s direction.
