Job summary

Paston Ridings Primary School is seeking a Specialist Inclusion Base Teaching Assistant to work within our SEND Hub, supporting pupils with complex needs. You will collaborate with the SENCO, teachers and inclusion team to enable access to learning and develop communication and independence skills.

The role targets graduates or those with relevant experience and requires resilience and relationship-building with pupils who may communicate in diverse ways.

Qualifications

• Graduate preferred with interest in SEND and child development.
• Calm, patient and reflective approach with pupils who may communicate differently.
• Willingness to learn about autism, sensory needs and communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with significant and complex SEND needs in accessing learning.
• Prepare resources and contribute to planning for pupils’ learning.
• Help implement individual support plans, learning plans and EHCP outcomes under SENCO guidance.
