Job summary

Hartsholme Academy, part of Harbour Learning Trust, is opening two Mainstream SEND Hubs in Sept 2026. The Enhanced Inclusion & Learning Practitioner will support pupils with communication, interaction, cognition and learning needs, building trust and helping access a challenging curriculum.

The role collaborates with the Enhanced Provision Teacher and external professionals to tailor support, develop independence, and meet EHCP targets. 32.5 hrs/week, Term Time plus 5 days.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and ability to help students achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication and ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Caring, patient and empathetic with a strong commitment to inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Work in our Mainstream SEND Hubs.
  • Develop students’ independence, emotional resilience and social skills, while supporting them to meet targets.
  • Implement planned learning activities, observe progress and maintain records.
  • Assist with personal care programmes to support independence and dignity.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns.
