Job summary

St Paul’s Way Trust School seeks an ambitious Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion & SEND) to join the Senior Leadership Team. The role focuses on strategic and operational inclusive practice, ensuring needs-based support across a large and diverse cohort of students.

You will lead inclusion and SEND initiatives, work with families and external agencies, and embed robust systems to promote high-quality teaching and learning for all learners.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of inclusive education and SEND legislation.
• Ability to mentor staff and develop effective classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop whole-school inclusion and SEND practice.
• Support and develop staff to deliver adaptive, inclusive classroom approaches.
• Ensure high-quality provision for students with SEND and those needing pastoral support.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and pastoral leaders to remove barriers to learning.
• Embed systems and routines that enable students with additional needs to flourish.
