Job summary

Tiverton High School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher Inclusion (SENDCo) to join the Senior Leadership Team in driving inclusion and SEND provision across the school. You will champion the needs of students with SEND, oversee the SEND Faculty and work with families and external agencies to secure excellent outcomes.

The role requires proven SEND leadership, knowledge of SEND legislation, and a commitment to developing high-quality inclusive teaching practices within a vibrant secondary

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in SEND and inclusion within a secondary setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Track record of improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
• Ability to inspire colleagues and lead high-quality inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEND Faculty and oversee inclusion across the school.
• Provide strategic leadership for SEND and inclusion, driving whole-school improvement.
• Ensure provision is ambitious, effective and compliant with statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies to support students.
