Job summary

The Priory Primary School in Wednesbury is seeking an Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion to provide strategic leadership for SEND from EYFS to Year 6. This non-class based role offers time, authority and a substantial team to drive inclusive practice and raise standards.

• Experience leading SEND provision in a mainstream primary setting.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs, annual reviews and the SEN Code of Practice.
• Ability to work strategically with governors and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND and inclusion across EYFS to Year 6.
• Maintain an accurate overview of the school's SEND profile and priorities.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities under the SEND Code of Practice are met.
• Lead identification, assessment and review processes for EHCPs.
• Oversee provision mapping and deployment of SEND resources.
• Coach and develop teachers and support staff.
• Advise the Headteacher and governors on SEND strategy and statutory requirements.
