Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Incinerator Loader within the Environmental Services Team. You will support the manager and staff in providing efficient waste collection and reception services, handling on-site and external wastes, and maintaining a clean service yard.

There is a 12-week probation, flexibility in hours, and a permanent full-time post with 37.5 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off pattern.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy are essential.
• Fork Lift License is required where applicable.
• Experience of working in an industrial environment is desirable.
• NHS experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist Environmental Services Manager and staff to provide efficient waste collection and reception services.
• Maintain the service yard and waste receiving areas in a clean, orderly system.
• Ensure Waste receipts are recorded on the waste management data base using appropriate electronic devices.
• Adhere to Waste Licensing Regulations and incident reporting processes.
• Operate in line with the Environmental Management System (EMS) and use PPE as required.
