Job summary

Davies Group is seeking an In-House Surveyor for an on-site, full-time role in Bolton. You will engage with customers, contractors and insurer clients, assess claim validity and prepare schedules of works, and update repair scopes using our rate schedules.

You will negotiate settlements and manage panel contractors to ensure accurate costs. The ideal candidate has on-site construction experience or Graduate Building Surveyor qualifications, coupled with strong communication and a proactive,

Qualifications

• On-site construction experience or Building Surveyor qualifications.
• Experience in buildings insurance claims or extensive trade experience is welcome.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, contractors and insurer clients via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Assess overall validity of claims and create meticulous schedules of works.
• Update building repair scopes using the in-house schedule of rates and evaluate contractor estimates.
• Negotiate cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
• Manage panel contractors and ensure repair schedules and costs align.
• Settle claims under delegating authority.
