Job summary

Davies in Bolton is seeking an experienced building surveyor or claims expert to join our Claims Management team. You’ll engage with customers, contractors and insurers to progress complex property claims on site. Day-to-day you’ll assess claim validity, prepare schedules of works, update repair scopes and review contractor estimates.

• Experience as a buildings insurance claims expert or Graduate Building Surveyor preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service excellence and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Engaging communication with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Claim validity assessment and creation of meticulous schedules of works.
• Update building repair scopes using in-house schedule of rates; evaluate contractor estimates.
• Negotiate cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
• Manage panel contractors, ensuring repair schedules and costs align.
• Settle claims under delegating authority with accuracy and professionalism.
