Michael Page Legal is seeking an In House Litigation Solicitor for a West Yorkshire-based role. You will manage a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre-action through to resolution, advising on strategy and settlement opportunities while ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

You will work with paralegals and legal operations, contribute to process improvements and develop best practice documentation.

Description

The In House Litigation Solicitor will be:

• Managing a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre action through to resolution, including higher value and complex claims
• Advising on legal strategy, risk, settlement opportunities and compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
• Working closely with paralegals, managers and senior stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and excellent client service
• Supporting legal operations initiatives, process improvements, reporting and the development of best practice documentation
• Contributing to colleague development through mentoring, feedback and knowledge sharing

Profile

The In House Litigation Solicitor should be:

• A Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with litigation practice rights
• Experienced in litigation with a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Comfortable managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Commercially aware and confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels
• Interested in legal technology, process improvement and modern ways of working

Job Offer

• Competitive salary between £40,000 and £50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
