Michael Page Legal is recruiting an In House Litigation Solicitor for a West Yorkshire-based team. The role covers a varied portfolio of defendant litigation, from pre-action to resolution, with a focus on strategy, risk and compliant deadlines. You will collaborate with paralegals and stakeholders to drive outcomes and process improvements.

The team offers modern technology, flexible hybrid working (2 days in office) and a clear progression path within a growing legal function.

Qualifications

• Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with litigation practice rights.
• Experienced in litigation with a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Comfortable managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Commercially aware and confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels.
• Interested in legal technology, process improvement and modern ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of defendant litigation matters from pre action through to resolution, including higher value and complex claims
• Advising on legal strategy, risk, settlement opportunities and compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
• Working closely with paralegals, managers and senior stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and excellent client service
• Supporting legal operations initiatives, process improvements, reporting and the development of best practice documentation
• Contributing to colleague development through mentoring, feedback and knowledge sharing
