CRA Legal in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is seeking a Commercial & Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join the Dispute Resolution team on a full-time, permanent hybrid basis. You will handle a varied commercial litigation caseload and develop expertise under an experienced Partner.

You'll advise on contractual disputes, company disputes, debt recovery and professional negligence, representing clients through litigation, mediation, and other dispute resolution methods while

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales.
• Experience in commercial litigation.
• Ability to manage own caseload with supervision.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload predominantly involving commercial litigation.
• Advise on contractual disputes, director, shareholder, partnership disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence and construction disputes.
• Represent clients through litigation, mediation, arbitration and other dispute resolution.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000

I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a progressive and growing law firm that has an excellent reputation for providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to both businesses and individuals. Due to continued growth within the Dispute Resolution team, they are looking to appoint a Commercial & Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join the team.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work alongside an experienced Partner on a broad and interesting range of contentious matters. You'll manage your own caseload while also supporting senior colleagues on more complex disputes, advising clients across a variety of sectors and providing strategic, commercially focused solutions. The role would suit a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with NQ-2 years' PQE, who has experience in commercial litigation and is keen to develop their career within a supportive and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload, predominantly involving commercial litigation.


• Advising on contractual disputes, director, shareholder and partnership disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence, business torts, construction disputes and contentious property matters.


• Representing clients through litigation, mediation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution.


• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and settlement agreements.


• Conducting legal research and providing practical, commercially focused advice.


• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.


• Supporting business development and networking initiatives.


• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales.


• Have experience dealing with commercial litigation matters.


• Have strong knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution.


• Possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with an interest in developing advocacy experience.


• Be comfortable managing their own caseload with appropriate supervision.


• Have excellent communication and client care skills.


• Demonstrate commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
