Newcastle Building Society is seeking a Customer Adviser to join our customer‑focused team on the high street. In this role you will welcome customers, listen to their needs, and help with everyday banking transactions while building strong relationships.

You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm with Saturday on a rota, and benefit from a comprehensive training programme and opportunities to grow your career within our mutual society.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills for building relationships with customers
• Strong listening and empathetic abilities
• Able to work well in a team and support colleagues
• Willing to learn and develop new skills in financial services

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and handle daily transactions at the counter
• Open savings accounts and assist with account opening tasks
• Process customer transactions and cash up at the end of the day
• Support in tills setup each morning and end‑of‑day closing
• Engage with customers to understand needs and provide excellent service
