Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking a Customer Adviser for a part-time, 14-hour-per-week role based in our local branch network. You will greet customers, handle transactions, assist with savings accounts and keep tills balanced, all while delivering a friendly, personalised service.

You'll receive a 12-week training programme, ongoing development, and a benefits package including pension, life cover, income protection and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong listening and empathy in customer interactions.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in financial services.
• Face-to-face customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and welcome them to the branch.
• Process transactions and cash handling at the counter.
• Assist with opening savings accounts and related banking tasks.
• Keep tills balanced and support end-of-day cash-up.
