Job summary

Bedspace Resource Ltd is seeking an Outreach Support Worker to assist vulnerable young people transitioning from care into independence. The role is based from the Liverpool office, covering the Merseyside area, with essential vehicle access and business insurance.

You will work with a safeguarding-focused, person-centred approach, liaising with professionals and delivering detailed reports on living skills and housing needs. A full driving licence is essential for travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Must have a genuine passion for working with vulnerable young people.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users across the Merseyside region, helping to build independent living skills.
• Liaise with Social Workers, Healthcare practitioners, DWP and the Police.
• Write detailed reports assessing a service user's independent living skills.
• Carry out weekly inspections of service users' properties.
• Support access to education and employment opportunities.
• Promote wellbeing and de‑escalate challenging situations when they arise.
• Signpost to mental health, drug rehabilitation services, counselling and education.
