Job summary

Targeted Provision in the United Kingdom is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support young people with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles are self-employed with opportunities in person, hybrid, or remote teaching; flexible part-time to full-time hours. Equity, safeguarding, and trauma-informed approaches are encouraged.

Requirements include 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, Enhanced DBS, and eligibility to work in the UK. Subjects may include English, Maths, and/or Science.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work; remote/online options may be available.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring; adapt to KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
• Report on lessons and progress with regular feedback to pupils and authorities if required.
• Contribute to a child-centred supported learning environment within the SEND pathway.
