Job summary

SENse Learning in the United Kingdom is seeking compassionate Intervention Tutors to provide bespoke, one-to-one support for SEND and SEMH students. Tutors deliver creative, trauma-informed lessons across KS1–KS5, indoors and remotely, adapting to each learner's EHCP and risk assessment while building confidence and academic progress.

This self-employed role offers flexible hours, optional in-person, hybrid, or online work, and a supportive team that helps with safeguarding and professional

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed way.
• QTS or QTLS certified with safeguarding training.
• Ability to plan flexible, student-centered tutoring.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-1 in-person, online or hybrid sessions with SEND learners.
• Build strong relationships and create a safe learning environment.
• Plan lessons, monitor progress and provide feedback to parents/ schools.
• Coordinate safeguarding and risk assessments as needed.
