Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people in Newport and surrounding areas. You will work in homes and community settings, delivering creative activities and helping students build confidence and life skills.

Roles are self-employed with flexible hours and part-time to full-time options. DBS enhanced checks and references required; role supports SEND/Special Educational Needs learners.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Background in support roles and education needed.
• Understanding of child-centred, holistic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings.
• Support development of life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies.
