Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one support to young people with special educational needs in homes and community settings across the UK. You will deliver creative, student-centred activities that build confidence and life skills while respecting safeguarding guidelines.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years' experience working with children or young people with complex needs, DBS clearance, and a flexible, empathetic approach to education.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• DBS clearance and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings.
• Deliver creative, interest-based activities to support learning.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support a wide range of needs.
