Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead SEND provision in a specialist SEN school in Birmingham. You will champion inclusive practice and ensure pupils receive tailored support to meet academic and personal goals.

You will oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and intervention planning, working with teachers, families and external professionals to drive outstanding SEND practice and compliance with the SEND Code of Practice. QTS and SENCO qualification required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience leading SEND provision and coordinating EHCPs.
  • Strong communication with staff, parents and external professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHCPs and SEND Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
  • Oversee EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and intervention planning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff for outstanding SEND practice.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practice frameworks.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
