Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting a SEN Teacher for immediate start in Epping, supporting primary and secondary SEN schools. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs and help pupils access learning and reach their potential.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, with PGCE preferred, and a patient, adaptable approach. You will collaborate with SEN staff and therapists to monitor progress and contribute to inclusive education in a range of settings.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
