Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our partner SEN schools in Chigwell. You will deliver high-quality lessons to pupils with diverse learning needs in both primary and secondary settings.

Qualified with QTS (or equivalent) and PGCE, you will have strong classroom management and a patient, adaptable approach, supporting EHCP targets and working with a multidisciplinary team to enable each learner to progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
