Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for Chelmsford’s primary and secondary SEN settings. Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Candidates should hold QTS (or equivalent) and PGCE, with experience or strong interest in SEN education. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support behaviour, assess progress, and implement EHCP targets.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
