Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher for an SEN secondary school in Epping.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils aged 11–18 with additional needs, work with SEN staff and therapists, and help build a safe, supportive learning environment.

A QTS and PGCE or equivalent are required, with Enhanced DBS preferred; immediate interviews and long‑term/permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience in SEN education (secondary preferred).
• Strong classroom management.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils aged 11-18 with SEN/SEMH.
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse needs.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive relationships to support engagement.
• Collaborate with SEN support staff and therapists.
• Monitor and report pupil progress.
