Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting a SEN Teacher to join our partner SEN schools in Epping, working across primary and secondary settings. This full-time, long-term role starts ASAP and offers long-term opportunities with potential advancement.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt the curriculum for diverse needs, and collaborate with SEN support staff and therapists to support pupil progress and EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.
