Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour & Intervention Mentor for a specialist SEMH school across Romford and Basildon. This immediate start role focuses on supporting pupils with highly complex SEMH needs through a trauma-informed approach.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups to develop emotional resilience, improve behaviour, and re-engage learners, while travelling between sites as required and upholding strong boundaries and positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH/SEND, youth work, care, mentoring or challenging behaviour.
• Understanding impact of trauma and ACEs on behaviour.
• Resilient, patient and confident managing challenging situations.
• Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable pupils.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

• Build trusting relationships with pupils and set consistent boundaries.
