Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support a pupil or small group of pupils.
  • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons.
  • Report on pupil progress and liaise with staff.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom times.
  • Assist with lesson planning and classroom prep.
  • Set work and mark when appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils.

Skills

Strong basic education (A-level)
GCSE Grade C in English Language and Mathematics
Experience with SEMH pupils
Behaviour management techniques
IT skills

Education

GCSE Grade C or equivalent
