Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
• Require experience in a similar role as Teaching Assistant.
• Experience of working with SEMH students preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or a small group.
• Assist the teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupil progress and concerns.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities.
• Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
• Set work and mark as needed.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.

Skills

Strong basic education

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant

Experience with pupils with SEMH

Behaviour management techniques

Sound IT skills

Education
