Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a welcoming secondary environment. You will assist teachers, work one-to-one and in small groups, and help implement intervention programmes to boost student progress.

The role covers SEN support, behaviour management, and positive engagement to help learners reach their potential. Applicants should have Enhanced DBS and be prepared for temporary, potentially long-term

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEN/SEMH/ASD/ADHD or learning difficulties is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills required.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across secondary subjects.
• One-to-one and small group support for students.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote engagement, confidence and independence.
• Support intervention programmes and targeted sessions.
• Uphold school policies and positive behaviour.
