Job summary

Cambian is seeking a Children\'s Registered Manager in Edgbaston to lead a two-bedroom home within our specialist EBD services. You will develop tailored care plans, build a strong team, manage key workers and ensure high care standards in line with quality requirements.

The role demands a background in residential care, supervisory experience, and Level 3/5 qualifications or progression. A UK driving licence is required and a focus on safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
• Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Skills: planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership.
• Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person.
• Develop a great team by recruiting, induction and personal development plans.
• Foster consultation with young people about their care.
• Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans.
• Maintain high standards in line with quality standards and the Home’s SOP.
• Handle complaints and child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
• Participate in care planning and review meetings.
• Embrace a safe culture and manage the home within budget.
