Job summary

Agincare is hiring an Ofsted Registered Manager for a brand-new not-for-profit children's LD residential home in York. You will lead, develop and support teams to deliver high-quality, compliant care and act as corporate parent to the children we care for.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, and regulatory adherence, shaping best practice from the outset to achieve outstanding outcomes for the children and Young People. A discretionary bonus and referral scheme are available.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in children's residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children's services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the children's residential home.
• Lead and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Ensure high-quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
