Job summary

The Supply Register (recruiting on behalf of Wolverhampton College) is hiring Learning Support Assistants to join their support team in Wolverhampton. The role focuses on providing high-quality, personalised assistance to learners across diverse courses and needs.

Key duties include in-class support for learners with SEND/SEMH, helping students access the curriculum, and assisting lecturers with resources and classroom expectations. DBS clearance is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in education, care, or support settings.
• Patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to different subjects and learning styles.
• Level 2/3 Support qualification is desirable but not essential.
• A DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to students with a range of additional learning needs (SEND, SEMH, physical needs, cognitive learning needs).
• Help learners access the curriculum and develop independence.
• Support lecturers with adapting resources and managing classroom expectations.
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group interventions where required.
