Job summary

WE Talent in Chelmsford is seeking a proactive Learning & Development Officer to design and deliver training that builds skills and confidence across the organisation. You will work with managers to identify development needs and craft engaging learning experiences.

This hands-on role covers face-to-face, virtual and blended delivery, creation of materials, induction programmes and ongoing evaluation to continually improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering engaging learning and development programmes.
• Confidence facilitating training sessions and engaging a variety of audiences.
• Ability to develop effective training materials and adapt delivery to different learning styles.
• Experience using learning management systems or digital learning tools.
• Beneficial: Level 3+ qualification in L&D/Training/Education.
• Experience in regulated or public-facing environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver engaging training programmes using face‑to‑face, virtual and blended learning methods.
• Facilitate interactive workshops and learning sessions, adapting approach to different audiences and learning styles.
• Develop training materials, resources and activities that bring learning to life and encourage participation.
• Deliver induction programmes to support new starters and help them settle into their roles.
• Work with managers and internal stakeholders to identify skills gaps and create practical learning solutions.
• Support development across areas including customer service, leadership, workplace safety and professional standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve future programmes.
• Keep learning materials and resources up to date, ensuring training remains relevant, accessible and effective.
