Job summary

Castle Mead Academy in Leicester is seeking a proactive Learning and Behaviour Mentor to join our growing pastoral care team. You will support scholars, uphold the academy ethos and expectations, and help create a calm, orderly environment that enables teaching and learning.

We value old-fashioned manners, shared leadership, and a no excuses approach. The role is permanent, full-time pro-rata, with LG Band 4 pay scales (£24,745-£26,379 pro-rata) and starts date to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support or student mentoring.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Ability to work as part of a Pastoral Care Team.
• Willingness to learn from colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to scholars and uphold the academy ethos and standards.
• Contribute to a calm, orderly environment that supports teaching and learning.
• Work as part of the Pastoral Care Team to monitor pupil welfare and behaviour.
• Assist with strategies to improve behaviour and attendance.
