Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting a Behaviour Support Worker for a KS3/KS4 setting in Birmingham, supporting pupils who may have experienced challenges within mainstream education. This role is temp-perm with an October 2026 start and a view to permanent in January 2027.

The position focuses on building strong relationships, applying consistent behaviour management, and supporting pupils’ educational development in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and behaviour support skills.
• A firm but relationship-focused approach.
• Experience working with KS3 and/or KS4 pupils.
• No formal teaching qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide behaviour support to pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
• Support pupils who have experienced permanent exclusion from mainstream education.
• Build strong, positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Use firm, consistent and effective behaviour management strategies.
• Support pupils with engagement, behaviour and their educational development.
• Help maintain a structured, safe and supportive learning environment.
