Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a well-established Pupil Referral Unit in Birmingham to recruit a Behaviour Teaching Assistant. You will support KS3 and KS4 students with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them re-engage with learning in a structured environment.

The role is available on long-term or short-term assignments with an immediate start. You will work inside and outside the classroom, using strong behaviour management and a patient, proactive approach to support students across the

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
• Experience as Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor / Learning Support Assistant or similar
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly
• A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting young people
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to support across KS3 and KS4
