Job summary

Rotherwood is recruiting for a Complex Needs Support Worker in Lancaster to support adults with complex needs, helping them build confidence, independence and a more positive future.

You will work with individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse or other complex circumstances, providing trauma-informed, person-centred support and coordinating with housing, healthcare and community services.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and resilient to support others.
• Experience in supported housing, homelessness, mental health or similar settings.
• Experience completing support plans, assessments and risk assessments.
• Understanding safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Knowledge of complex needs including mental health, substance misuse, homelessness.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, trauma-informed support.
• Manage a caseload and carry out support plans and risk assessments.
• Support individuals to access housing, healthcare, benefits and community services.
• Encourage independence and help people achieve personal goals.
• Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Collaborate with external agencies and partner organisations for best outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding procedures.
