Job summary

One YMCA Group is seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker in Watford to support vulnerable adults with complex needs in Intensive Supported Accommodation. You will provide person-centred support, helping residents stabilise and work toward independence.

The role involves delivering tailored support, building meaningful relationships, managing daily living, and coordinating with partners to access services. A trauma-informed, empathetic, and collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults in settings such as supported housing or homelessness services.
• Trauma-informed approach to care is essential.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 6-8 hours of tailored support per resident each week (caseloads of 10 residents).
• Build trusting relationships to identify strengths, set goals, and promote recovery.
• Support residents in managing daily living, maintaining accommodation, and accessing specialist services.
• Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate holistic support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous service improvement.
