Job summary

Witherslack Group is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to help young people in our Children’s Homes. You’ll assist with daily routines, schoolwork and activities, both during the day and in evenings on a rotating schedule.

The role offers off-the-job Care Academy training, generous annual leave and opportunities for progression within the group. A UK driving licence is required and a Level 3 Diploma is preferred or funded if not held.

Qualifications

• A can-do attitude and teamwork to support young people.
• Honesty and empathy as a core requirement when caring for others.
• Resilience to handle challenging situations with young people.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• If you lack the Level 3 Diploma, the company will fund study.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines, school readiness, homework and activities.
• Complete paperwork and plan educational and recreational activities.
• Evenings and weekends include engaging activities and fun time.
• Contribute to a caring, structured environment in residential homes.
