Wilderness Way is seeking Residential Support Workers to help children build a safe, nurturing home environment and support their education, health and emotional wellbeing. You will build trusted relationships, encourage independence, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals in care, education or youth work.
• Strong communication and empathetic skills.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Managers, Therapists, Outdoor Specialists and Multidisciplinary Teams to help children achieve positive outcomes.
