Job summary

Wilderness Way in the United Kingdom is seeking Residential Support Workers to make a real difference in children’s lives. You will build trust, maintain a safe home environment and support education, health and wellbeing across daily activities and outings.

We offer a structured induction, funded Level 3 Diploma, generous leave, pension and healthcare benefits, plus opportunities to progress to Senior Residential Support Worker roles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• Willing to work toward Level 3 qualification if not held.
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship.
• Be 21 or over due to residential care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Work with Managers, Therapists, Outdoor Specialists and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
• Senior level: mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
