Job summary

Wilderness Way is hiring Residential Support Workers to help children in care build trusting relationships and a stable home environment. You will support education, health, wellbeing, and daily routines, encouraging independence and resilience.

Experience with children or vulnerable individuals is valued. Opportunities at Senior Residential Support Worker level may include mentoring and career progression within Wilderness Way. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification.
• Be 21+ and have right to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
