Wilderness Way is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to help children feel safe, valued and supported daily. You will engage in school preparation, life skills activities, meals, and thoughtful support in challenging moments.

This role offers a clear path to Senior Residential Support Worker with mentoring responsibilities, a comprehensive induction, and funded Level 3 training to advance your career within Wilderness Way.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• A positive and resilient approach.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification if you don't already hold one.
• Be 21 or over due to requirements within children's residential care.
• Have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not provided.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving as part of your role.

Responsibilities

• No two days are ever the same; you may help a young person prepare for school or support an outdoor adventure.
• You’ll teach life skills, celebrate achievements, cook a favourite meal, or be the trusted adult in difficult moments.
• For Senior Residential Support Worker, mentor and support less experienced colleagues and uphold high care standards.
