Wilderness Way is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to help children feel safe, valued and excited about their future. You will build trusted relationships, create a nurturing home, and support education, health and wellbeing in a dynamic residential environment.

Senior roles offer mentoring, higher standards of care and progression opportunities within Wilderness Way, with comprehensive induction and a pathway to Level 3 qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals is essential.
• A positive and resilient approach.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping children reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express their wishes, feelings and aspirations.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Managers, Therapists and other teams to achieve positive outcomes.
