Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a Behaviour Mentor in Rochdale to support pupils with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs. The role involves 1:1, small-group and class support, helping pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning on a day-to-day basis.

You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals, build positive relationships, apply de-escalation strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive environment with term-time hours and an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Patience and resilience to support pupils with ASC/ADHD/SEMH.
• Experience in SEN, SEMH or education settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• De-escalation and positive handling training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1, small-group and classroom support to pupils.
• Help pupils manage emotions and develop positive behaviours.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• Apply effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Support emotional regulation and consistent routines.
• Remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams and SEN professionals.
