Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils in Norwich are recruiting an IHAT Manager to lead the Integrated Housing Adaptations Team and manage the Disabled Facilities Grant portfolio.

You will provide line management, oversee complex cases, drive service improvements and ensure compliant delivery of DFGs and housing support schemes, working with administrators, therapists and partner organisations. The role also offers flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading teams in a busy operational environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the delivery of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and Integrated Housing Adaptations Team (IHAT) service, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused outcomes and compliance with legislation, policies and grant conditions.
• Providing line management, leadership and operational oversight for designated staff, deputising for the Housing Standards Senior Manager when required.
• Managing complex housing adaptation and DFG cases, providing specialist technical advice and working collaboratively with residents, Occupational Therapists, contractors, health professionals and partner organisations.
• Monitoring service performance, budgets and grant funding, ensuring resources are effectively managed and available funding is maximised to support service delivery.
• Driving service improvement, transformation and partnership working, including project management, policy development, performance reporting and promoting the service across internal and external stakeholders.
