Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced DFG Service Manager to lead the operational delivery of the Disabled Facilities Grant and Adaptations Service in the West Midlands region. The role focuses on managing performance, budgets, procurement, and service redesign to reduce backlogs and improve efficiency.

The successful candidate will work with Occupational Therapists, technical staff, contractors, and senior stakeholders to deliver statutory obligations and programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience reporting to senior management, elected members, or governance boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of the DFG and Adaptations Service.
• Manage performance, compliance, budgets, and grant expenditure.
• Oversee procurement activities and contractor frameworks.
• Drive service improvement, efficiency, and process redesign.
• Support the delivery of adaptation programmes and statutory obligations.
• Work closely with Occupational Therapists, technical staff, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of reducing waiting lists/backlogs and improving performance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced DFG Service Manager to support the efficient and effective delivery of the client's Disabled Facilities Grant and Adaptations Service, including the management and reduction of an existing adaptations backlog.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the operational delivery of the DFG and Adaptations Service.
• Manage performance, compliance, budgets, and grant expenditure.
• Oversee procurement activities and contractor frameworks.
• Drive service improvement, efficiency, and process redesign.
• Support the delivery of adaptation programmes and statutory obligations.
• Work closely with Occupational Therapists, technical staff, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of reducing waiting lists/backlogs and improving performance.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience managing DFG budgets and maximising grant utilisation.
• Experience delivering service transformation and process redesign.
