Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils are seeking an experienced IHAT Manager to lead the Disabled Facilities Grant and housing adaptations service. You will provide strategic leadership to ensure high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes and compliant delivery across Broadland and South Norfolk.

You will manage a team, oversee complex cases, and work with partners to drive service improvements and effective funding use. Interview date: 15th October 2026.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and people management skills.
• Experience in leading teams and delivering high‑quality services in busy operational environments.
• Ability to interpret complex information and legislation and support decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and Integrated Housing Adaptations Team (IHAT) service.
• Provide line management and operational oversight for designated staff and deputise for the Housing Standards Senior Manager.
• Manage complex housing adaptation and DFG cases with stakeholders including Occupational Therapists and contractors.
• Monitor service performance, budgets and grant funding to maximise resources.
• Drive service improvements, transformation and partnership working including project management and policy development.
