Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd. seeks an experienced DFG Service Manager to lead the Disabled Facilities Grant and Adaptations Service in Tamworth. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, reducing backlog, and ensuring compliant grant expenditure.

You will operate on a hybrid basis from the Tamworth office and from home, coordinating with Occupational Therapists, contractors, and senior stakeholders to drive improvements and statutory delivery.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated DFG Service Manager to join a leading Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the efficient and effective delivery of the Disabled Facilities Grant and Adaptations Service, including the management and reduction of an existing adaptations backlog.

You will be based in the office in Tamworth and at home!

DFG Service Manager

Location: Hybrid, Tamworth

6 month contract

40- 45 per hour via Umbrella

DFG Service Manager duties:

• Lead the operational delivery of the DFG and Adaptations Service.
• Manage performance, compliance, budgets, and grant expenditure.
• Oversee procurement activities and contractor frameworks.
• Drive service improvement, efficiency, and process redesign.
• Support the delivery of adaptation programmes and statutory obligations.
• Work closely with Occupational Therapists, technical staff, contractors, and senior stakeholders.

To succeed as the DFG Service Manager, you need:

• Experience managing DFG budgets and maximising grant utilisation.
• Experience delivering service transformation and process redesign.
• Significant experience managing a DFG or adaptations service within a local authority or housing provider.

• Experience of procurement, contract management, and performance management.
• Demonstrable ability to improve processes, increase efficiency and deliver high-performing customer-focused services.
• Experience of managing and reducing adaptations backlogs.
