Job summary

E-ACT National Team – Bristol Hub in Bristol is seeking a Hub ICT Technician to support reliable ICT systems for staff and students and to keep operations running smoothly. You will deliver user support, manage assets and contribute to effective teaching and day-to-day activities.

Based in Bristol Hub, you will join a trusted network across England, benefiting from a strong pension, generous annual leave, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
• Recognised ICT qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work to deadlines especially during periods of pressure.
• Ability to design and set up spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ICT Helpdesk effectively, responding to and resolving support requests within agreed service timescales.
• Maintain accurate inventories and asset registers for hardware, software, cabling, consumables and network/documentation.
• Provide first-line and second-line support for ICT-related queries, escalating issues to third-party suppliers where appropriate.
• Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the team and wider organisation.
